what to expect
What can you expect on your first visit to Calvary Baptist Church? You can expect a warm greeting by a church member who will ask your name and how they can help you drop off your kids, find a certain location, or answer any other questions.
what is the service like?
Usually a typical Sunday morning will include congregational singing (Ephesians 5:19), public reading of the scriptures (1 Timothy 4:13), expository preaching (2 Timothy 4:-2), and a regular appeal to accept the free gift of salvation found in Jesus Christ. (Romans 6:23)
what do I wear?
There is no dress code at Calvary. We simply try to dress in such a way that we do not distract others from the true focus of our gatherings - Christ Jesus. Some of our people dress more casually and others more formally. So don't feel the need to impress others with how you dress, just come ready to focus on Christ and help others to do the same.
what about our children?
We firmly believe in ministering to children. "Suffer the little children to come unto Me" Jesus said. We have classes during the 9:30am Sunday School time for all ages as well as children's church during the 10:30am worship service. Our nurseries are designed to tenderly care for your children and keep them physically safe and accessible to you. Nursery is provided for all services, but parents are certainly at liberty to keep their children with them if so desired.
