where we began
On June 1, 1975, Calvary Baptist Church of Hampton, Georgia was constituted. Since that time, God has blessed us with a wonderful ministry. In a year and a half, God allowed us to purchase our present property and erect our first church building. The next year, we had our first Missions Conference and God began to call missionaries out of our fellowship. Over the ensuing years, six families and two single ladies had become involved in missions through the Calvary Baptist Church. In addition, we have sent out two men into the pastorate, and God has called others to the convalescent and evangelistic ministries.
Continued grace and growth
The Greer Building, built in 1984, houses the church offices, classrooms, a kitchen, and a fellowship hall, the prophets chamber, and a gymnasium.
Over the years, God has saved scores of people and brought many families into the church fellowship. So from its humble beginning, meeting at Camp Fortson, Calvary Baptist Church has been greatly blessed through the years; and we are thankful for everyone who has been a part of this ministry.

Looking to the future
Our future is bright. The Bible says, "Where there is no vision, the people perish." (Proverbs 29:18) May God give us an enlarged vision and increased commitment for His honor and glory. Then, in a few more years, we can look back and say again, "To God be the glory, great things He hath done!"
